James W. Abbott Obituary
James W. Abbott, 65 James W. Abbott, 65 of Linwood, PA, died on January 26, 2014 at home. Born to the late George A. and Alberta Gilbert Abbott Sr. in Upland, PA, he was raised mostly in Chichester. Jim graduated from Chichester High School, class of 1966 and attended Pennsylvania Institute of Technology for 1 year. He was a resident of Linwood for 38 years, and was employed in sales by Westlake Plastics in Lenni for 45 years. He was a member of the Marcus Hook Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Usher. He also played softball for the church team. James hobbies included playing golf, vacationing in Ocean City, MD and watching NCIS. James will be missed by all, and was known for his phrase, "I'm Just Peachy". He served in the Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Korea. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, George Abbott. Survivors: Wife of 46 years Katharine Marders Abbott, children, Tracie (Carrie) Zerby, James B. Abbott and Wendy (Dave) Jones, sister, Linda (Jack) Vahey, brother, Bill Adams, grandchildren, Emily, Luke, Rileigh and Madison and nephews, Chris and Tom Adams. Services: Friday, 11a.m., at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA Visitation: Friday, 10-11a.m., at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA.
