John Suprum Obituary

John A. Suprum Sr., 85 Of Bear, DE, formerly of Aston, PA John A. Suprum Sr., 85. Died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Naaman's Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley, PA. Born in Plymouth, PA, on February 17, 1925, Mr. Suprum was son of the late Anthony Suprum and Catherine Kowatz Suprum. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. In civilian life, he was employed as a machine operator with Scott Paper for 25 years. He went on to own the Greenwood Inn in Coaldale, PA, for 17 years. In his leisure hours, he enjoyed spending time at Delaware Park. Mr. Suprum will be long and fondly remembered for his devotion to his family, especially to his beloved great grandchildren whom he adored. His wife of 61 years, Eleanor Rosalie Peanoski Suprum, died in 2008. Survivors: He is survived by his children Theresa Mikulski (Ronald), John A. Suprum, Jr. (Teresa), and Roberta Phillips (Ralph); brother Anthony Suprum; siste, Stella Sheikh; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Services / Burial: Will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
