John Joseph McSorley Obituary
John Joseph McSorley,44 Beloved Son, Father and Brother John Joseph McSorley, 44, recently of Langhorne, PA and a former long time resident of Sharon Hill, PA. Passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at his residence. Born at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby on July 12, 1968, he was the son of Helen Ann (nee Mills) McSorley of Sharon Hill and the late Joseph Aloysious McSorley Jr., who passed away in 1995. He was a 1982 graduate of Holy Spirit Catholic Elementary School in Sharon Hill, and a 1986 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill. After graduating from high school, John had also attended both Delaware County Community College and West Chester State University. For the last 25 years John had been employed in the construction trades profession as both a sheet metal worker and plasterer. Survivors: In addition to his mother, John is also survived by his children Sgt. Jonathon J. McSorley, United States Army (Megan) of Marlton, NJ, Lauren McSorley of N.E. Philadelphia and Alexis McSorley of Turnersville, NJ; his siblings Michael R. McSorley (Anne) of Aston, PA, Elaine Rohr (Frank) of Wichita, KS, Maureen Dietz of Cochranville, PA, Alicia Patti (Dan) of Drexel Hill, PA and Christa Kulp (Josh) of Annapolis, MD; many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his brother the late Joseph W. McSorley; his sister the late Jacqulynn McSorley; his sister-in-law the late Linda McSorley. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Life Celebration on Thursday evening October 25, 2012 6:30 to 8:30 PM and Friday morning October 26, 2012 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Spencer T. Videon Life Celebration Home, Garrett Road at Shadeland Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 10 AM from St. Dorothy Roman Catholic Church, Township Line and Burmont Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment will be held privately by his family at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Contributions: The family has respectfully requested that all flowers be omitted, and that those desiring to do so may make a memorial contribution in John's memory for his children directly to his mother at P.O.
