Mary A. Nelms (nee Dostillio), age 79, died June 14, 2012 at Taylor Hospice Residence in Ridley Park, PA.
Mary was born in Altoona, PA, and raised and educated in Ridley Twp. She has been a resident of Aston for the past 57 years.
Mary was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sitting on her deck on her swing.
Mary was one of the founding members of St. Joseph's Church in Aston.
She was the loving wife of the late James J. Nelms Jr. who died in 2010, the daughter of the late Dominic and Amelia DiCamillo Dostillio, and the sister of the late Alex DiAntonio and Kelly Distillio
SURVIVORS: Her children James J. Nelms (Brenda) of Garnet Valley, Deborah Lancianse of Aston, Mary Theresa Root (Joe) of Collingdale, Anita Nelms of Aston, and Diane Carnevale (Kirk) of Aston. Brothers Gene DiAntonio, and Kenny Melchiore, her sisters Sue McCauley, Anne Bridge, Florence Saracina and Lucy Saracina. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, 19014.
Visitation: Tuesday from 8:30-9:45 am at the church. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
