Thomas DeJohn Obituary
Thomas W. DeJohn Sr., 86, died on May 16, 2012 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Helen M. DeJohn (nee Kelly). He was a 1943 graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. DeJohn was employed for 26 years with GE Re-Entry Systems in Philadelphia in research and development of missile guidance. He retired in 1982.
Survivors: His daughters Kathy DeJohn of Brookhaven, PA and Layne Tate (Bill) of Glen Mills, PA; his son Thomas W. DeJohn Jr. (Colleen) of Drexel Hill, PA; his 6 grandchildren.
Pre-deceased by his wife Gertrude "Kay" DeJohn (nee Laurienzo) in 2009.
Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, May 20, 2012 6 to 9 PM and Monday, May 21, 2012 8:30 to 9:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby.
Funeral Mass 10 AM Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown.
Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tom to Bryn Mawr Hospital, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 would be appreciated.
