William Davis Obituary
William "Cooney" Davis, 86 Korean War Veteran William "Cooney" Davis, of Pittsburgh, PA, and formerly of Chester, passed away on February 2014 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was the youngest son of the late Joe and Ida Davis. He was a U.S. Army veteran that fought in the Korean War. He retired from Scott Paper Company after more than 30 years. He was a well known Martial Arts Instructor and Mentor who taught countless students the value of self defense while emphasizing proper respect for the art. He was also an outstanding softball pitcher and a member of the popular Thunderbirds and Bull Moose Cafe teams that represented the city of Chester. Predeceased by his wife Alice Davis, 2 brothers Ralph "Beans" Davis and Eugene "Pat" Davis, a son Kevin Davis and first wife Essie Pearl Davis. Survivors: 2 daughters Carol Ann Milsap (Tex) and Darlene Davis, 1 son Dennis Davis (Carolyn), a Step-daughter Alvina "Candy" Johnson, a special nephew Charles Nichols (Joann), 10 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and valued friends.
