George A. Majors Sr. Obituary
George A. Majors, Sr., age 92 George A. Majors, Sr., age 92, of Chester, Pa., surrendered to the will of the Lord on March 26, 2014 at Taylor Hospice. Mr. Majors was born in Culpeper, Virginia to the late William Majors and Nancy Mable Banks Majors. He was educated in the Nether Providence School District and was a former member of The Church of Christ. Before his retirement, Mr. Majors worked as a forklift operator for Congoleum. He was an army veteran of World War II where he received the European African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal EAME Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars. Widower of Elizabeth Rebecca Peterson Majors, Mr. Majors was also predeceased by his brother William Majors, sisters Gertrude Hubbard, and Geraldine Timbers. Survivors: His wonderful memory will be cherished by his 4 sons Edward "Chickie" Majors (Cassandra), Charles Peterson (Sadie), George A. Majors, Jr. (Roberta), and Johnny Harris (Paula), 3 daughters Nancy Young (Dewayne), Elisa Spivey, and Olive Nelson, 1 sister Mary Rice, host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Fairview 130 Balignac Ave. Woodlyn, Pa.
