Charles R. Roland, 83 Charles R. Roland, 83, of Boothwyn, PA, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Harry and Maude Roland in Chester, he was raised in Linwood, PA and has resided in Boothwyn, PA for 54 years. Charles served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an HVAC Mechanic for County Humidifier for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He also helped his wife in her Cake Decorating Business for many years. He was an active member of the Marcus Hook Baptist Church where he faithfully served God as past Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, as well as many other activities. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also known as an avid model train enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pugh Roland who died in 2012, his late aunt and uncle who raised him, Lacey and Daisy Johnson, and 7 siblings. Survivors: Children, Linda (Mark) Berkemeyer, Patricia (Robert) Koechig, Charles (Paula) Roland Jr., George (Gloria) Roland, Florence Ewald, and Carole Coiro, 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services: Tuesday, 10:00a.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA Visitation: Monday evening, 7-9p.m. and Tuesday Morning, 9-10a.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, Garnet Valley, PA. Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
