Charlie Mason Alston, Sr., 80 Charlie Mason Alston, Sr., 80, surrendered to the will of the Lord at home surrounded by his family on June 7, 2014. Charlie was born in Warrenton, NC to the late Robert B. Alston and Sallie M. Williams Alston. He was educated in the Warren County School District. He worked 35 years and retired from PECO/Execlon and was a member of Local 413, Chester PA. Charlie really enjoyed hunting, fishing, socially playing cards and singing the blues as he played his harmonica and guitar. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 4 brothers, 3 sisters and his son Ray Amin Nix and daughter Valerie Alston Wallace. Survivors: Left to cherish his wonderful memory his wife of 56 years Dorothy L. Dixon Alston, and his children Bennie Kearney, of Manson NC, Robin Eiland, Columbus OH, Charlie M. Alston, Jr., Javett Alston, Darren L. Alston, Sr. and Kelly Alston all of Chester, PA, twenty grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends.
