Daniel A. Killion Obituary
Daniel A. Killion Daniel A. Killion passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. He was resident of Upper Darby and most recently Glenolden, PA. Dan graduated from West Catholic High School in1939 and then enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He proudly served in the European Theatre of operations attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. He was awarded seven Bronze Stars for his heroism. He also served for two years during the Korean conflict. Dan was truly a member of the greatest generation! Dan retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1976 as a regional supervisor. He enjoyed the last 40 summers in Wildwood, NJ. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Thomas and his nephews Jack and Billy. Survivors: He is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Friday, July 11, 2014 at 9:30a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064.
