Thomas J. Halpin, Jr., 55 Thomas J. Halpin, Jr., 55, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, died August 16, 2014 at the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Tom lived in Drexel Hill for many years before moving to Hawley, PA He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, Class of 1977. Tom had worked for Comcast for eight years as a warehouseman and fork lift operator. He retired 3 years ago. He was a former member of the woodland String Band and the Overbrook String Band. He enjoyed 4 wheel vehicles, all Philly sports teams and model trains. He was known as the "Mayor" of Paupackan Lake Estates where he lived in Hawley. Tom is survived by his beloved wife Nancy J.(nee Hennessey) Halpin and devoted father of Melanie, Marsha and Craig. He is also survived by his mother Barbara (nee Cresta) (the late Thomas, Sr.) Halpin and siblings William Halpin, Joey Halpin and Diane Halpin, his 5 grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Tiffany, Kaley and Camryn and 2 great grandchildren Juliet and Connor and his special buddy Danny. Funeral Mass: Thursday, 10 a.m., St. Charles Borromeo Church, Dennison Ave. and Burmont Road, Drexel Hill. Family and friends may visit Wednesday eve, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday morning 8:30-9:30 a.m. at DOYLE-STONELAKE FUNERAL HOME, 85 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050 Interment: Prospect Hill Baptist Cemetery in Prospect Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to ., 527 Plymouth Road, Suite 415, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462, in Tom's name would be greatly appreciated.
