Joseph H. Linsley, 88 Served in Naval Intelligence during W.W. II Joseph H. Linsley, 88, of Concord Twp., died November 14, 2010 at Maris Grove. Mr. Linsley ws born in Philadelphia, son of the late Clarence and Eva R. Linsley. Mr. Linsley was employed by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and retired in 1981 after nearly 41 years of service. He was furloughed from USDA during W.W. II for a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946, serving in Naval Intelligence. Mr. Linsley was a member of Tilghman-Angle-Smith American Legion Post #0841, Dingmans Ferry, PA. Mr Linsley had lived at Maris Grove for 5 years where he was a member of the Veterans Club. Prior to moving to Maris Grove, he resided in Arlington, VA. Mr. Linsley was married to the late Bertha I. (nee Jagger) Linsley who died in 2009. He was also pre-deceased by brothers John and Robert and sister Marie Cosgrove. Survivors: He is survived by his sister Regina O'Connor of Rose Valley; brothers Edward of Fl. And William of AZ; many nieces and nephews Service: Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10 AM St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA.
