Eugene Berry Obituary
On November 15, 2012, Eugene "Gene" Berry passed away peacefully with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Raised in the Stonehurst section of Upper Darby Gene graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1963.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army being honorably discharged in July 1969. After his military service, Gene attended St. Joseph's University where he received his bachelors degree in accounting.
Gene had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, later pursuing his career as an accountant.
Gene was an avid sports fan all of his life. He was very involved with the Kedron Youth Association where he coached many teams and various sports.
Gene also served as a past president for the Kedron Youth Association.
He enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially basketball, which he played until his diagnosis in March 2012. Gene loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In his spare time, Gene loved to read, take vacations to the Florida Keys, and spend time with his many friends at the American Legion Post 214.
He was predeceased by his wife Marie A. (nee Daniels) Berry and his sister and brother-in-law Marie and Michael Bosak.
Survivors: Beloved father of Timothy R. Berry, Eugene C. Berry, Stephen R. Berry and Colleen M. (Sean) Joyce; loving grandfather of Zachary, Jacob, AnnaLisa and Reegan; dear brother of John (Denise) Berry, Edward (Dorothy) Berry, Thomas Berry, Joseph (Patricia) Berry, Gerard (Natalie) Berry; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: Monday, November, 19, 2012, Noon, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, E. Lansdowne, PA.
Burial will be private
