Albert F. Amburg, 88, died Friday at Taylor Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he has been a resident of Folcroft for the past 30 years.He was a veteran of World War II and served with the 17th Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.He was a member of Norwood V.F.W. Post.
Mr. Amburg retired from Scott Paper and was formerly employed by Curtis Publishing.He was also a self employed painting contractor for over 30 years. He was an avid Phillies and Flyers fan.
Son of the late Robert and Evelyn Parsons Amburg, he was one of 10 siblings, Robert, Richard, Stanley, Charles, Evelyn, Margaret, Mae, Ethel and Doris.
Survivors: Three children, Albert and Robert Amburg and Darlene Chavis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service/Viewing: Noon Wednesday at Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby, Pa., where there will be a viewing after 11 a.m. Burial: Private. The guestbook may be signed online at www.marvilfuneralhome.com
