James W. Dawson Sr. Obituary
James W. Dawson, Sr., 85 James W. Dawson, Sr., age 85, died on January 20, 2013 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Chester, Pa., he resided in Brookhaven, Pa. with his daughter for the past 5 years. A United States Navy Veteran, serving in WW II in the Asiatic- Pacific American area receiving the Victory Medal. He worked at Scott Paper, Sun Oil, GM Motor Co. , retired from Sun Ship/Penn Ship as a supervising rigger on the Sun 800. He loved boating, fishing and enjoyed being a pilot on his Adirondack plane. He also was a member of the West End Boat Club. Husband of 60 years to his Loving wife Wilma E. Dawson who died in 1999 (nee Dooley); Father of the Late James, Edward, Richard, Roger, Allen. Survivors: Devoted father of David Dawson (Deborah), Kenneth (LoriBeth) Dawson, Linda (Edward) Swanson, Ellen (Daniel) Beatty; Daughters-in-law, Sharon Dawson, Rosemary Dawson. Sister Joanne Vona of Mammoth, NJ. Also survived by 29 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday January 29, 2013 from 9-10:45am at D'Anjolell-Stigale Funeral Home: 3260 Concord Road Aston, Pa.
