Edward F. Lentz, 72, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2013 surrounded by his family. |
Born in Allentown, PA, he was a long time resident of Upper Darby. He was the loving son of the late Edward Francis and Ruth Elizabeth (nee Buzby) Lentz.
Ed attended Lansdowne Aldan High School which he represented in the state wrestling competition.
He was also a member of the Lansdowne Swim Club diving and swimming teams of which his father was a founding member.
He was employed as a pressman at Fred D. Griffiths, of Lansdowne, PA for 44 years.
Ed enjoyed playing golf at the Avalon Country Club, fishing and crabbing, and playing horseshoes at his summer place at the shore. He loved being with his family and friends, hosting his Super Bowl parties. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
Survivors: His wife Diane (nee Curry) Lentz; daughters Holly Lawson (Robert), Laura Plummer (Jefferey), and Joanne Miceli (Michael); also survived by 7 grandchildren Debbie Ann Miceli, William M. Miceli, Valerie A. Lawson, Elizabeth A. Miceli, Kelsey Elizabeth Lawson, Morgan Plummer, and Robert Edward Lawson; his brother Donald H. Lentz (Nadine); two nephews and numerous cousins.
Viewing and Service: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, June 4th after 9 a.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
