Michael James Mack Sr. Obituary
Michael James Mack, Sr. 62 Mike Mack, 62 of Logan Township, NJ died August 4, 2013 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was raised in Clifton Heights, PA, attended Holy Cross Grade School and graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 1969. He played football for both schools and worked on the janitorial staff of Holy Cross while playing high school football. Mike served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969-1971. He served honorably with the 1st Marine Division (11th Marines) in the Da Nang Area of Vietnam in 1970. Mike recently retired after 40 years as an Engineering Technician at the Philadelphia Navy Base. He also served the U.S. military as a civilian employee in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mike was predeceased by his parents Regina (nee Curry) and Martin F. Mack, Sr.; his beloved wife Pamella (nee Laird) Mack; his daughter Alexandra Shaun Mack; his son Michael James Mack, Jr. and his brother John P. Mack. Survivors: His children Katie Mack (Kevin Douglas), Shanon Lutes (Ronald) and Ryan Mack (Christopher Colatrella); his granddaughters Maggie and Emma Douglas; a third grandchild is on the way; his siblings Sr. Anne Marie Mack, C.B.S., Margaret Roach (James), Joan Mack, Regina Mack Harris (James), Martin F. Mack, Jr. (Florence) and James Mack (Laura); also survived by countless nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Viewing: Thursday, August 8th, 9:30 a.m., in Holy Cross Church, Springfield, PA 19064.
