Agnes M. Faux Obituary
Agnes M. (nee Tapp) Faux, age 73 Agnes M. (nee Tapp) Faux, age 73 years of Glen Mills, died August 03, 2013 at home. Survivors: Her husband of 54 years, Fred, her daughter Cindy (Dave), and sons Michael (Adriana), Steven (Linda), Thomas (Sara), and Andrew (Susan) and eleven grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt Helen Birkenstock, nephew Jason, niece Jennifer, and many first cousins. Aggie was an inspiration to her family and friends who knew her as a very caring and giving person. Aggie was a breast cancer survivor for over 20 years, and she fought her lung and brain cancers for three and a half years with grace, always with a positive and accepting spirit. Aggie embraced life with a steadfast spirituality and a positive outlook on life. Her energy and uncompromising goodness were bundled into her wonderful humor, known by everyone who met her. Aggie graduated from St. Hubert's Catholic High School in 1957, where she was a National Honor Student and Co-Editor of the school newspaper. She was Town Talk Newspaper's 1987 "Mother of the Year" in Delaware County. Aggie was a "professional" volunteer throughout her life; cub scout den mother; foster mother for seven children; several church related ministries, including 25 years in the Pre-Cana Ministry at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church; 17 years as a Thresholds Councilor at Delaware County Woman's prison; three years in her women's prisoner outreach program, Oasis; and, 10 years with Bumper-T Caring Clowns as Nurse Tessie Tickles at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Services: Visitation time with our family will be from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, August 16, at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA. Additional visitation time is from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM, Saturday, August 17, prior to a Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342 Contributions: In lieu of flowers, etc., memorial contributions may be sent to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512-2170.
