Philip R. D'Angelo, 90 Philip R. D'Angelo, 90, a 65 year resident of Chester died August 21, 2013 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Mr. D'Angelo was born in Chester the son of the late Leonard and Mary nee Treglia D'Angelo. He graduated from Eddystone High School. He was employed by PECO as Chief Turbine Operator and retired as System Training Specialist after 42 years of service. Following his retirement Mr. D'Angelo worked for Community Transit as a Bus Driver and a Supervisor for 8 years in a job he truly loved. Mr. D'Angelo was the President of the union when he worked for PECO IBEW at the Chester Station. Mr. D'Angelo was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Church formerly St. Robert Church. He served in the Army during World War II earning 2 Purple Hearts and 4 Bronze Stars and he landed on Omaha Beach. Mr. D'Angelo was married to the late Madeline M. nee Manning D'Angelo who died in 2012. Survivors: His son Philip J. D'Angelo (Joan) of Glen Mills and his daughter Marian Edmiston (Dirk) of West Chester, his sister Felicia Ewing brothers Leonard of Phoenix, AZ, Anthony, and David D'Angelo both of Linwood, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, 11 A.M., St. Katharine Drexel Church, 20th St. & Providence Ave., Chester, where friends may call from 9 to 10:45 A.M.
