Joseph H. Williams

Joseph H. Williams Lifelong resident of Delaware County Joseph H. Williams, age 89, of Norwood, son of the late Raymond and Mary Williams of Glenolden, passed away on November 4th, 2013. Survivors: Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Edson). Devoted father of Susan J. Williams. Nancy L. Williams and Joseph C. Williams. Dear Brother of Mary N. Forbes, Ruth J. Edson, and the late Sara L. Seamen, Roger C. Williams, John P. "Jack" Williams and Frances E. Williams. Mr. Williams attended Glen-Nor High School where he excelled at football and baseball along with his brothers. He left during his senior year to enlist in the Army, serving in the CBI Theatre during World War II, where he contracted malaria. Upon his return he was a painting contractor retiring in the late 1980's. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening and relaxing on his patio. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday, from 11 a.m. till 11:45 a.m., at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, followed by his funeral service at 12 noon.
