Stanley N. "Dziadzek" Brittingham, 83 Stanley N. "Dziadzek" Brittingham, 83, of Ridley Park, PA., died Friday January 10, 2014 in the Crozer Keystone Hospice, Ridley Park, PA. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late George and Ethel (Dehaven) Brittingham. He served during the Korean War in the Navy. He was an honorary member of the Nuclear Navy and worked on the Nautilus, the first atomic submarine. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer, last employed by US Army Corps of Engineering, Maintenance District, Phila, PA. Stanley also worked at Sun Shipbuilding in Chester and NAVSSES at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. When he was younger, Stanley enjoyed judo and golfing. In later years he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved computer games especially flying missions on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Stanley is predeceased by his brother Robert Brittingham. Survivors: His wife: Joan (nee Korsak) Brittingham, two sons: Mark (Catherine) Brittingham, John (Christine) Brittingham; two daughters: Susan (Jack) Drolet, Annmarie (Stephen) Allen; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Prayer service: Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk., Glenolden Visitation: Thursday, 9-10a.m. at the funeral home Burial: Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
