Robert W. Walker Obituary
Robert W. Walker of Forksville, PA died February 25, 2014 at Hospital of Univ. of Pennsylvania with his wife and children by his side. Mr. Walker was born in Chester to Ernest and Joyce Walker. He graduated from Ridley High School. He worked for PECO, he had a hearing aid center in Chester and he was the Founder, Inventor and CEO of Walker's Game Ear. Mr. Walker was a pioneer in the outdoor industry and avid outdoorsman. He was a loving a husband and a proud father and grandfather. His final project was the Hunt for Donors for bone marrow registry.
Mr. Walker was predeceased by his father and his brother Roland.
He is survived by his mother Joyce Kissinger of Swarthmore, his wife Karen (nee Iritano) of Forksville, his son Robert Walker Jr. of West Chester, his daughter Beth Fitzgerald of Wallingford, his grandchildren Justin, Elaina, Miranda and Sebastian Fitzgerald and Henry Robert Walker. He is also survived by his sisters Dora Millard of Aston, Jean Walker and Terri Mastripolito both of Swarthmore and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Tuesday March 4 at 5pm at Springfield Country Club 400 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield. Doors open at 4pm. Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm at the Country Club.
