Arthur G. Grooms, 81, of Ashley, formerly of Delaware, died Tuesday, (April 23, 2013) in Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 9, 1932, in Galena to David and Anna (Neds) Grooms. He was a retired employee of Emerson Lumber Yard.
He is survived by his wife Betty, a daughter, Susan (Mike) Votaw, three sons, Dale, Ronald and Dennis all of Ashley, seven grandchildren, Bradley, Douglas, Patrick, Jon, Chelsey, Jeff and Beckey and four great-great-grandchildren, Zoey, Kylie, Rylee and Lilly.
He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, 561 W. Central Ave. Condolences may be expressed at www.robinsonfuneralhomeinc.com.
