FIRSTENBERGER, DIXIE L. - Ashley  
DELAWARE — Dixie L. Firstenberger, 77, of Ashley, passed away Wednesday morning, April 27, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born Oct. 11, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to the late John and Dorothy (Young) Mason and later graduated from Radnor High School in 1956. A light hearted and fun loving woman, Dixie also had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed her pets, time spent in the garden, playing Yahtzee and fishing. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Kevin of Columbus and Charlie (Shannon) of Indian Lake; daughter, Paula of Westerville; two grandchildren, Charlie (Bridgette) of Avon and Nik (Sierra) of Delaware; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Trenten and Taylor; brother, Charlie Mason of Waldo. In addition to her parents, Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a brother, John Mason; sister, Jeanette Lawson; stepsister, Gerry Hubbell; and stepbrother, Roger Warner. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dixie's memory may be made to the Morrow County Humane Society, P.O. Box 298, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338 or at www.hsofmc.org .
