FOGEL, MARION A. - Westerville  
ASHLEY — Marion A. Fogel, 97, of Westerville and formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at Country View of Sunbury. She was born on Dec. 28, 1916 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, to the late Clayton and Veda (Yale) McFarland. In 1937 she married Carl Fogel. They were childhood sweethearts. She managed the home while he served during World War II. Together they shared 48 wonderful years, raising a family and caring for each others needs until his passing in 1986. She sang in the church choir of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Hamilton. Later she became an active member of the Church of the Messiah, where she participated in Inez Crouse Circle. Never judgmental, Marion was always willing to give of herself. She enjoyed writing poetry, word games, Scrabble, and family history. Her life centered on church and her treasured family and family events. She is survived by son, B.C. (Vicki) Fogel of Westerville; daughter, Judith (Dean) Baldwin of Ashley; grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) Baldwin, Amy (Alan) Miracle; 6 great-grandchildren, Erika, Jared, Ross Baldwin, Paige, Adam, Blake Miracle; and a brother, Clayton McFarland. Also preceded in death by brothers, Hardon, Roland, Willard McFarland; sisters, Anna Marie Stemler and Dorothy McFarland; and stepmother, Elda McFarland. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at the Bennett, Brown, Rodman & Snyder Funeral Home, 307 E. High St., Ashley, OH 43003, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. MARYSVILLE — Katherine E. "Kathie" Duncan Faulk, 54, of Delaware, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a 1978 graduate of Dublin High School and received a bachelor's degree in communications from Florida State University. She began her career as owner/operator of a women's specialty boutique, "Duncan's Attic" in Jacksonville, Florida for many years. She later managed retail stores in Dublin. A free-lance photographer, she also enjoyed music, the beach, fishing and bicycling. She was born Nov. 5, 1960 in Columbus, to the late Steven and Diana Wender Duncan. She is survived by her son, Duncan Loran Faulk of Ostrander and a student of Buckeye Valley; two sisters, Carol (David) Raymond of Marysville and Pamela Guay of Knoxville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jeremy) Fishbaugh, Christy Raymond, Christopher Guay and Katie (Terry) Wheatley, Cole Wheatley and Ashlee and Ryder Fishbaugh; and her companion of 10 years, Tony Zanetos; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 E. Fifth St., Marysville, where the family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware County Humane Society.
