DELAWARE — Marilyn E. Hammond, 82, of Marion, formerly of Delaware, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 in Kingston Residence. She was born Aug. 14, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Roy and Muriel (Millhoan) King. A resident of Delaware for 72 years, she was employed at Bun's Restaurant for over 30 years and also was a secretary for Ohio Wesleyan University and was a Teacher Aide for Del. SACC Program. The children loved her and called her "Miss Marilyn." Marilyn was a member of Zion U.C.C. and a member and Past Worthy Matron of George Lewis Behrens Chapter 504 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed working with children, playing games, card clubs, shopping and baking. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Chet; three daughters, Brenda Davis of Lancaster, Amy (Tom) Garwood of Morral, Michele (John) Speed of Gloucester, N.C.; a son, Scott (Karen) of Powell; grandchildren, Nathan and Jeff Garwood, Gabrian Heisler, Sam and Kate Hammond, Melissa Luman and Nicole DeVault; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald King; stepbrother, Roy King; and grandson, Teddy Hammond. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, with an Eastern Star service at 4 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter St., Delaware, where the funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, with Rev. Jon Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion U.C.C or to the Marion General Hospital Hospice. Condolences may be expressed to the family and memories shared online at .
