Bruce Landacre

DELAWARE - Bruce F. Landacre, 76, of Delaware, died Thursday May 1, 2014, in the Arbors of Delaware.

He was born June 7, 1937, in Delaware to Ralph and Lillian (Dunlap) Landacre. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1955 and attended Columbia Collage. A lifetime resident of Delaware, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired as Captain of the Delaware City Police Dept. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, K of C, Hiram Masonic Lodge, FOP and the Eagles Lodge.

He is survived by his significant other, Janet Ashbrook; mother, Lillian; son Mark (Deb) and extended family, Lori, Steve, Zach and Ben Johns and Myrna Ashbrook all of Delaware.

He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Scott and wife Rose.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home where an FOP service will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a Masonic service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated May 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Watson as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Green Mound Cemetery.
