Donald Warren Maxwell

Donald Warren Maxwell, 76, of Delaware, joined the heavenly choir on Monday, (March 25, 2013) in Grant Hospital after a three-week stay there.
Don was a lifetime resident of Delaware County. He was born to Warren (Shorty) and Janet Maxwell. Don graduated from Radnor High School in 1954 and attended Capital University. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Don was a Sohio and BP service station manager. He was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he held many positions on the church council and sang in the church choir with music being a great part of his life. He loved sports, especially baseball and golf.
He loved his family very much. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Lois and his sister, Sherry Maxwell; sister-in-law, Jean DeWalt; brother-in-law, Larry Milligan (Kay); nephews, Mike Milligan (Debbie); Don Arnold (fiancee Lisa and her son Xander); nieces, Kristy Milligan; Lori Black (Jim); great-nieces Isabella and Leah; and family friend Roberta Benson. Don is also survived by his uncle Harry (Donna) and many cousins who were a huge part of his life.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Milligan and sister, Nancy Arnold.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Jennell Rue, Pastor Thomas Phillips, and Pastor Gil Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery.
