Evelyn Dailey

DELAWARE - Evelyn "Gene" Dailey, 71, of Delaware passed away Wednesday peacefully at home.

She was born in Columbus on June 13, 1943, to the late Boyd A. and Juanita M. (Sadler) Gundelfinger. A graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1961, she remained true to her class with many lifelong friendships.

Those left to cherish her memory include children Juanita (Chad) Wilkinson of Bellefontaine, Elizabeth (Ramiro) Alvarez of Perrysburg, Allen Ryther of Chesapeake, VA, Amy Wilson of TN, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Melody (Michael) Fathbruckner of Delaware, Margi Gundelfinger, her niece Tina (Nou) Lithiluxa, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Frederick "Fritz" Dailey and brother Boyd Gundelfinger Jr.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Gene Dailey will be held 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, 41 Hodges Rd, Delaware, OH 43015. Her family will greet friends one hour prior to the services and a reception will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center.
