Roger L. Henry

Roger L. Henry, 64, of Grove City and formerly of Delaware passed away Tuesday morning (April 2, 2013) at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1948, in Apple Grove, W.Va. to the late Marion A. and Mary C. (Moodespaugh) Henry.  Participating in football and other sports, he was a 1966 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School and attended the OSU branch in Marion.
He attended the Canaan Land Church in Grove City and EastSide Mission Church in Delaware. He was a fan of all sports. Selfless, he cared for others. Easy to befriend with a big heart, he was quick with a smile and always enjoyed spending time with his family.
Forever faithful to his parents, Roger enjoyed going home to the land of his West Virginia roots.  He treasured his friends, and loved spending time with his black lab, Luke.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister Betty (Gary) Daubenspeck of Delaware, brother Carl (Sharon) Henry of Los Fresnos, Texas, brother-in-law Donnie Kinnaird of Delaware, beloved nieces and nephews: Michael Kinnaird, Vickie Rich, Bruce, Steve, Kevin Kinnaird, Pam Clark, Suzanne Kinnaird, Scott and Brad Young, Shonna Caplinger, Chris Henry, dear friend and companion Oddie Colon, and a host of friends and extended family.
He was also preceded in death by brother, John Harold, in 1941 and sister, JoAnne Kinnaird, in 2005.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the Friday 2 p.m. funeral services at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, where Rev. Donnie Akers will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
