Rosabel (Rose) Weiser

DELAWARE - Rosabel (Rose) Weiser, 98, of Delaware passed away March 1, 2014 at Sarah Moore Home where she had resided for the past 6 years.

Rose was a leader in her own way by graduating as valedictorian of her Waldo High School class, then becoming the first woman to graduate as an Electrical Engineer from The Ohio State University and being the only woman working as a Test Equipment Engineer at NCR for many years.

After retiring from NCR, Rose volunteered with: Meals on Wheels and the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she participated in the Priscilla Circle. Rose was an avid traveler and was a member of Loners on Wheels.

Rose was preceded in death by her father, W. Wesley and mother, Jessie.

A memorial service for Rose will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, Friday, March 14 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Wilden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sarah Moore Memorial Fund, 26 Union Street or Asbury United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 55 W. Lincoln Ave., Delaware, OH or to Harbor Light Hospice, 751 Brooksedge Dr., Westerville, OH.
