STANLEY EASTERDAY Obituary
LAKEVIEW — Stanley B. "Burt" Easterday, 77, of Lakeview, Ohio passed away, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at Heartland of Indian Lake.
Burt was born on Sept. 12, 1938 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Robert Vernon and Bernice Marie Conway Easterday. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Somerlot and Frances McGrath.
He is survived by a son, Brian E. Easterday of Delaware; a brother, Robert Eugene Easterday of Huntsville, Ohio; and several nephews, a niece, cousins and many friends.
Burt was a 1956 graduate of Willis High School in Delaware and retired after 30 years with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge No. 1533, Indian Lake Eagles Aeries No. 3615, both of Lakeview, and Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 18 in Delaware. When Burt was younger he coached little league baseball. He was an avid bowler and rabid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians.
A celebration of Burt's life will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with Masonic Services provided by the Hiram Masonic Lodge. Inurnment will be at a later date in Kingwood Memorial Park, Delaware.
Memorial contributions may be given in his name to an organization of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
