Clyde E. Wooley, 94, passed away Thursday (Nov. 22, 2012).

He was a longtime resident of Willow Brook Christian Village. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1939 and University High School in 1935. He was a 60-year member of New England Lodge #4 F&AM, Horace Wright Chapter #226, AASR Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine Temple, Worthington Chapter OES #287. He was a past president of the Worthington Shrine Club. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran of the 70th Infantry Division, where he received the WWII Victory Medal and two Bronze Service Stars. He was also a member of the 70th Infantry Division Association. He was a longtime manufacturing representative in the confectionery industry and was elected to the National Candy Salesman's Hall of Fame in 1972. He was employed for nine years by Universal Tax Services. He was a member and treasurer of Capitol Chapter 1918 Club, a life member of Worthington Historical Society, and alumnus and member of Alpha Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Chapter, at The Ohio State University.
He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Suzanne (Bruno) Giordano and Marcia (Jim) Adams; godson, Alexander Vanden Broek; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 60 years, Marguerite M. Wooley; father, Alvin T. Wooley and mother, Pauline (Lemert) Wooley.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Rutherford Funderal Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy St., (Powell Road/Ohio 750 - a quarter mile east of Sawmill Parkway), where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. Masonic services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday after visitation.
