Donald Flauto, 38, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2013).
He was born on Feb. 28, 1974, to James and Janet (Fecko) Flauto in Youngstown. Donald was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Actuarial Sciences. After graduation, he married his wife Heather (Schaefer) and they have two lovely boys. He worked as an account manager for Group Benefits Specialists.
Donald was an avid hockey fan and a Civil War history buff. He enjoyed coaching his son's flag football teams and was a loving father and husband.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 10 years, Heather (Schaefer); children, Matthew and Joseph Flauto; father, James Flauto of Youngstown; brother, Jeffrey and his wife Shannon Flauto of Youngstown; brothers-in-law, Owen of Denver and Christopher Schaefer of Columbus, mother- and father-in-law, Karla and Owen Schaefer of Sandusky; and nephews, Marc and Alex Flauto of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Flauto, and paternal grandparents, James and Mary Flauto.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, with a service following at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center (1510 W. William St. Delaware, OH 43015).
