DELAWARE - Donald "Don" "Papaw Bubba" Thomas Ward, 65, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning April 9, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 21, 1949 in Delaware to Earl R. Ward and Mary L. (Rodenfels) Ward.
He was working as a road superintendent for Delaware Township and had been for over 30 years. He was a member of the Antique Tractor Club who enjoyed International Tractors, farm equipment and spending time outdoors. He was also a frequent visitor to many local restaurants including The Diner, Hamburger Inn, Waffle House and Pizza Hut. He loved fairs, tractor pulls, farm science reviews, and waitresses.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Donald Timothy "Tim" (Tammy) Ward of Delaware; daughter Amanda (Tim) Lilly of Grove City; grandchildren Brandon Lee Ward and Elizabeth Leanne Ward; brother William E. "Billy" (Ann) Ward of Delaware; sister Patricia A. Powell of Lewis Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Brittany Nicole Ward.
The family will receive friends on Sunday April 13 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Monday April 14 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
