Irene Monica Timm, 96, of Delaware and formerly of Cleveland and Euclid, passed away Sunday morning (Feb. 17, 2013) at the Sarah Moore Home, where she had resided for the last 11 years.

She was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Cleveland, to the late Otto and Monica Timm. While living at Sarah Moore, she was an eager participant in all of their activities and was well liked and even loved by their employees. Irene had a joy of life that is seldom found in most. She lived a simple and honest life and her passing will be noted well by all who loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Leo (Stephanie) Timm; grandchildren, Benjamin (Rita), Leandra (Douglas) Hughes, Alexander (Kelly Hastings); great-grandchildren, Virtue, David, Laura, Odessa, Douglas Jr., and Dominic. She was a beloved aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard (Hazel), Eugene (Irene), and Carl (Laura) Timm.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 19) at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, where a vigil of prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware, with the Rev. Fr. James Black officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Sarah Moore Health Center, 26 N. Union St., Delaware, OH 43015, in lieu of flowers, but flowers are always acceptable.
