Mary Kathryn "Mary Kay" (Womer) Berry, 94, of Delaware, departed life Friday (Jan. 11, 2013) with granddaughter Kathryn Marie by her side in The Sarah Moore Home.
She was born March 10, 1918, in Coshocton to the late Marie (Womer) Ford. She graduated from Coshocton High School and married Harold Vernon Berry. Together they had a child (Linda), and lived from sea to shining sea and somewhere in between. Over the years, they managed hotels, apartments and co-ops in Florida, California and Ohio. Before retiring, she managed The Columbus Children's College in Columbus.
She will be cherished and remembered as a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother and as an anonymous hero to many, providing inspiration, values, love, friendship and ethics.
She is survived by brother, Dale Randles of Hawaii; her only daughter Linda (Berry) Mount and Frank of Canton; four grandchildren, Kathy Rigney and Brett of Delaware, H. Todd Freeman of New York, N.Y., Thomas Freeman and Christine of Valrico of Florida and Sandra McCoy and Billy of Vernon, ill.; and eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Vernon Berry, and brother, Robert Randles.
