LEWIS CENTER - Octavia L. Kegley, 86, of Lewis Center, died Saturday morning Oct. 26, 2013, at Emeritus at Manor Outlook in Westerville.
She was born on April 2, 1927, in Keyhole, Ky., to the late John and Naura (Traylor) Logan the youngest of 13. A 60 year resident of Delaware County, she was a member of the East Side Mission Church and a retired assembler from Ranco.
Octavia enjoyed sewing and music at church. Her favorite song being The Baptism of Jesse Taylor.
Octavia treasured her family and time spent with them. She simply loved everyone.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Karen) of Las Vegas, Gary of Lewis Center, Jerry (Brenda) of Delaware, Diane (Monty) Mullen of Galena, David of Delaware; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years: Henry Kegley on Nov. 20, 1997; son: Richard "Little Ricky" who died 2 days after birth in 1959, daughter-in-law Melinda Kegley, and 12 brothers and sisters
Friends may call 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr. Delaware, where Pastor Donnie Akers will officiate.
