Patricia Virginia Lehner

VERMILION — Patricia Virginia Lehner (nee Howard ), 90 , of Vermilion, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born Oct.1, 1923 in Milford Center, OH. She had been a Vermilion resident since 1958 moving from Delaware, OH.

Patricia participated in high school sports including basketball and baseball. She was a homemaker and member of the Vermilion Chapter of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, playing golf and spending time with her family. She was a world traveler and a member of a local antique car club along with her late husband. She loved to spoil her pug Suki.

She is survived by her son, John S. Lehner of Lorain; grandchildren, James "Jay" Lehner, Erica (nee Lehner) Schrenkel, and Zachary Lehner; great- grandchildren, Deanna Gardinier, Jessica Schrenkel, and James Schrenkel II; sister, Sally Givens of Hudson, FL; daughters- in- law, Sue Lehner, and Rosalie Lehner both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis Lehner in 2009; sons Charles R. Lehner who died Sept. 10, 2010, and James H. Lehner who died Aug. 15, 2004; parents Max and Katherine (nee Cheney) Howard. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St., Vermilion where the family will receive friends from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
