Thomas O. Wolverton, 76, of Sunbury and formerly of Columbus, died Monday morning (Dec. 31, 2012) at Kobacker House in Columbus.
He was born Jan. 14, 1936, in Dayton, to the late Giles and Anna May (Angeroff) Wolverton. He attended Christ Fellowship Church, Westerville. He was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and earned a B.A. in mathematics. Tom loved going to activities involving his children - whether it was swimming meets, dance recitals or other sports. He also loved to travel, and he visited California, Europe and the U.K. Tom loved Broadway musicals and music, reading biographies, watching movies, basketball, football, the History Channel, PBS and the Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita (Culver) Wolverton; sons, Jeffrey of Los Angeles, Calif., Clinton of Columbus, and Andrew of Oakland, Calif.; daughters, Paige (David) Winikoff of Menlo Park, Calif., Dee Dee Paeseler of Oakland, and Kelly (TJ) Pinkston of Winnemucca, Nev.; grandchildren, Asher, Aaron, Kulani, Jaxson, and Miranda; brothers, Robert (Freida) of Avon Lake and David of Greenville; brother-in-law, Brent (Marge) Culver of Delaware; and sister-in-law, Carol Wood of Galena.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Hedrick officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park.
