DELAWARE - Verta J. Bailey, 81, of Delaware, died Friday morning Nov. 15, 2013, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1932, in Columbus to the late Lloyd G. and Ruth C. (Ross) Irwin. She was a homemaker and had lived in Delaware since 2005 coming from Ashley, she enjoyed ceramics and was a seamstress.
Verta's family meant everything to her and she treasured the time spent with her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna (Gene) Kimbleton of Sandy Valley, Nevada, Debbie (Mark) McCreary of Delaware, Denise Miller of Bellefontaine, Diane (Gilbert) Pineda of Brownsville, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a daughter-like friend of the family: Marie Kean; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Harold E. Bailey on August 1, 2008; 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild; sister: Patricia Oldaker; brothers: Fred Irwin, Karl Rowe, Darrell Rowe.

Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside where services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashley Union Cemetery.
