WILMINGTON - Jane N. Miller, 97, of Wilmington, formerly of Delaware, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, in the Brown Memorial Home in Circleville.
She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1998, a former chaplain at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born July 3, 1916, in Chicago to Lester and Lila (Jackson) Noble. She graduated from the Western Collage of Miami and received an MS from OSU. When she resided in Delaware, she was a member of William Street United Methodist Church and the League of Women Voters. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and Sarah Moore Home.
She is survived by two daughter, Laura Jane (Don) Thomas of Circleville, Helen Morefield of Kingsport, Tenn.; a son Howard (Kate) of St. Paul, Minn.; six grandchildren, Cyndi, Brian, Evan, Colin, Paige and Joey and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the William Street United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Julie Carmean officiating.
