DELAWARE - Mary Helen Inglish, 93, passed away Wednesday morning May 28, 2014, at Suites at Sarah Moore.
She was born Aug. 28, 1920, to the late Madison and Nancy (Blaney) Evans.
She worked for 20 years for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. She worked the OBES employment trailer at the Delaware County Fair, hired many youth for their first job de-tasseling corn and was on the radio reporting on job placements. She managed the Delaware Country Club for many years and enjoyed planning special events for the members. She was a member of the Sarah Moore Service Board, member of Lewis Center United Methodist Church, Republican Women's Club in Delaware and George Lewis Behrens Order of the Eastern Star. When she had spare time she loved to cook, do hand work, shop and play cards with her "Merry Widows" group. She will be remembered for her smile, her willingness to try anything once and her love of family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Rozella (George) Miller, Roberta (Steve) Martin and Rick (Jeanne) Inglish, all of Delaware; 9 grandchildren Mitch (Melissa) Miller, Mark (Gayle) Miller, Matt (Caroline) Miller, Karlene (Bub) Sykes, Keith (Jenny) Tagg, Michael (Chenoa) Inglish, David (Renee) Inglish, Courtney (Don) Almashy and Danielle (Ryan) Adkins; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Dave in 1980, five brothers Thurman, Carl, Lawrence, Marion and Arthur Evans and two sisters Viola Evans and Norfaye Winters.
The family will receive friends on Friday May 30 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Saturday May 31 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
