DELAWARE - Lewis A. Breckenridge, 86, of Delaware, died Wednesday evening July 9, 2014 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

He was born on March 6, 1928, in Grove City to the late Artur and Liska (Beatty) Breckenridge. He has lived in the Delaware area since 1945 and was a retired carpenter.

Lewis loved to tinker with things and work with his hands making birdhouses and other items. He enjoyed hunting rabbit and deer. Lewis was involved in the Kilbourne community and especially with the ball fields in use today.

He is survived by his daughter Linda Irwin of Delaware; son: John (Darlene) Breckenridge of Sunbury; grandchildren: Nicole (Ben) Alloway, Cori (Ryan) Wilson, Keli Breckenridge, Kevin Wendling, Patrick Love, Caleb Breckenridge; great grandchildren: Garrett, Cecily, Hali, Raven, Chad, Danielle; great great grandchildren: Adam, Lilly.

Preceded by stepgranddaughter: Tami Lynn Fichtner; brothers: Harold, Ralph, Lester. Alec, Butch, Russ, Jack, Paul; sisters: Clara Belle, Lena Mae..

Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Saturday 1 p.m. with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Interment to follow in the Green Mound Cemetery.
