JUDY KAY KISER SHUMWAY
DELAWARE — Judy Kay Kiser Shumway, 70, of Lewis Center, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2014 at her residence.
She was born April 6, 1944 to the late Willis and Harriett (Shannon) Kiser.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by an infant son Jack Edward Shumway.
Judy graduated from Olentangy High School in the class of 1962. She took accounting courses at Columbus Business University and Otterbein College. She worked for Nationwide Insurance, PPG Industries, Olentangy Local School District, and was the Berlin Township clerk for 20 years. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling, and golfing, as well as all the friendships that went with it.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Fred Shumway, whom she married in 1967; son, Jeff Shumway of Las Vegas, Nevada; stepson, Brad Shumway of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Rollin and Marybeth Kiser of Ostrander; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, and where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy's memory may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
