After relocating to Delaware, she became involved in multiple community programs, offering help and comfort wherever she could. Desiree became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Delaware and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the congregation as well as helping in many of their outreach programs. Known for her warm and giving nature, she befriended each person she met and was quick to offer support and love in any way she could. Desiree had never met a stranger who didn't leave a friend.
