A Celebration of Life was held in Del Mar, CA, for Joyce who passed away May 23, 2013, at age 80, from COPD and complications from lung disease. She was a long time resident of Del Mar and a realtor with Del Mar Realty for over 30 years.
Fond memories will be cherished of Joyce's love for family, beach parties, shopping with girlfriends, Tiny and Tudy, and dog, Zoee, always by her side. After her husband Larry passed away, Zoee became the love of her life. Joyce loved to play cards, garden and work crossword puzzles. She could be found playing three card poker at Pala and Thanksgiving holiday's playing knock-poker with granddaughters, family and friends.
Joyce is survived by her three children, Lory Trombly, Jamie Sharp and Paul Sharp; son-in-law, Mike Trombly; four lovely granddaughters, Ashley Trombly, Stacie Fowler, Kristen Clouthier and Amanda Watring; and three beloved great-grandsons, Levi Fowler, Cade Watring and Hunter Sharp.
Family and friends will forever raise a champagne toast to celebrate her kindness, generosity, and love for life. Keep on dancing mom – our love remains and you will forever be in our hearts.

My very dear Joycee, how you are missed! It's so hard to put into the words how much you meant to me. You were one of my favorite ladies of all time! Oh the memories, from your addition in the early house, dancing up a storm; singing, dancing and drinking on the driveway on 29th street with Larry; gambling and laughing our heads off at Pala; your wonderful Thanksgiving's with family and friends, my absolute favorite holiday. You brought so much happiness to all of those around you! Your spirit, your intelligence, your guidance and your most fabulous laugh will always be in my heart, now and forever! Miss you like a mom, for that is what you were! Miss you terribly, I pray you are happy playing 3 card poker with a lovely glass of champagne in your hand. Cheers to your beautiful soul and generous heart! Love you Joycee!!! With all my heart, Teri (your adopted child!!)

Joyce was my best friends mom. To me she was a mentor, a woman I went to for guidence, be it my love life, gambling, horses, or money investments, she walked me through it. I loved our visits to Pala, just to say..."shoove it!" as we drove away empty handed. She was the whole package. I love her dearly and miss her wicked sense of humor, and our champagne toasts to...well, really anything! She was a strong woman who was a perfect role model for my generation. I miss her mostly as a close friend and confidant, who would help me laugh away my worries. God Loves A Winner Joyce...and you sure fit the bill! Miss you every day.

As a new realtor to Del Mar years ago, Joyce was kind enough to "show me the ropes" for race rentals. I always remember her lessons and enjoyed doing rentals with her. She will be in my fond memories of my life as a property manager in Del Mar long after I retire!

Everyone knows about "mother n laws" but Joyce was different and a great mother n law! I throughly loved her company. What a wonderful personality and a giving person. You can tell a lot about a person by the number of true friends they have and Del Mar Joyce had many. She will be missed but her memory lives on.
