1932 – 2012
Carl "Lenny" MacPherson, 80, died on December 7, 2012, peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1932, in the State of Maine and moved to California in 1959. He was a member of Saint Michaels Catholic Church and a Poway resident for the last 44 years.
He will always be remembered not only as a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandpa, but for his time and service he gave to others. Lenny's U.S. Naval career spanned 23 years and his employment with Hewlett Packard for 20 years. His volunteer time with the Poway SDCO Sheriffs Department VIP program, and his dedication to his Church as an Usher for 18 years was just part of his lifetime of commitments. The core values learned as a young Naval Sailor and later a Chief Petty Officer, honor, commitment and courage is what he lived by each day of his life. He was a father to four and an Angel to many.
Lenny is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rochelle MacPherson; sons, Thomas (Leticia) MacPherson, Larry (Dawn) MacPherson and Garry MacPherson; daughter, Kathleen MacPherson; and grandchildren, Kassandra and Christopher MacPherson and Brittlynn and Mallory MacPherson.
A Memorial Mass has been scheduled for Friday, December 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Michaels Catholic Church, Poway California.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family. Death is never something we get use to. But know during this time you are not alone. Our Creator promises better days ahead. He will give you the strength needed to get through this difficult time.

I was just out of high school and Carl gave me the job that changed my life. I worked for Hewlett Packard for 20 years thanks to Carl. That was 1973. I went on to work on inkjet and finished as a tooling designer. Thank you carl, you sure were a great person.
