Darrell always had a smile and a high 5 for my family and I at Christ Church. His presence there will be truly missed. My son (6yrs old), when told of Darrell's passing, was initially sad, but then pointed to a star in the night sky and said "I'll bet that's Darrell looking down on us." My sympathies go out to the Messick and Hackett families.
