Farley, Robert *  
Robert E. Farley Ocean City-Robert Farley, age 89, died on Friday, April 22, 2016. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Lacy A. and Willie Fitzgerald Farley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Elaine J. Farley, and children, Alan D. Farley and his wife Faith of Concord, Virginia, Helena L. Russell of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Joanne "Jody" R. Farley of Ocean City, Maryland. There are four grandchildren, Jaime, James, Katherine and Benjamin, two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Hannah, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Also surviving is his sister, Nancy J. Palmquist of Delray Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his sons, James A. Farley and John E. Farley, and brothers, Paul F. Farley and Douglas M. Farley. Mr. Farley served in the United States Navy during World War II in both the Atlantic and Pacific aboard the USS Cowie DD-632/DMS-39. After the war, he learned the HVAC trade and was a 65-year member of the Journeymen Pipe Fitters and Apprentices Local Union 602. He founded and operated R.E. Farley Company, Inc. for 47 years beginning in Springfield, Virginia and then moved the business to the Ocean City area. Mr. Farley was a very active member of St. Paul's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church for 40 years serving on the Vestry, and as both Junior and Senior Wardens multiple times. He also created the cross that hangs behind the altar. He was a long term member of Rotary International, serving as President in the Springfield, Virginia and Berlin/Ocean City, Maryland chapters. In addition, he had been a member of the Ocean City Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr. Farley inherited a love of building from his father. He served as the general contractor on the building of one of his homes in Ocean Pines and was always renovating or adding to most of the homes in which he lived. In his final years, he could always be found watching home improvement television shows. He also loved working in his yard for which he will be remembered by many of his neighbors. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Ocean City. Rev. Kenneth Thom and The Rev. Penelope Morrow will officiate. Inurnment will follow in St. Paul's by-the-Sea Columbarium. A donation in his memory may be made to Coastal Hospice or St. Paul's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Fletcher, Ted M. *  
Ted M. Fletcher Delmar-Ted M. Fletcher, 83, of Delmar, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was born February 1, 1933 in Sharptown, a son of the late Harry G. Fletcher and Lottie Mitchell Walker Fletcher. Ted worked many years managing the warehouse at Cope's Candy Co. before retiring from Maryland Plastics where he was the head of the maintenance department. He was a dedicated, 60 year member of the Sharptown Fire Department and proudly ran the merry-go-round at the Sharptown Carnival for the past 36 years. Ted also served as past-president of the Delmarva Firemen's Association. He enjoyed serving his community and was always there to lend a hand to those in need. He is survived by sons, Kenneth Fletcher and wife, Shelley of Salisbury, Jerry Fletcher of Delmar, and Terry Fletcher and wife, Terri of Delmar; grandchildren, James Fletcher, Caroline Fletcher, Coltman Fletcher, Gunner Fletcher, Tyler Spiker, Brandon Fletcher, Gavin Fletcher, Dillon Fletcher, Morgan Fletcher, and Amber Fletcher Holston; great grandchildren, Danny, Olivia, Noah, Blake, Colson and Gabriel; a very special companion, Margaret Padgette of Salisbury; a brother, Herman Fletcher of Sharptown; and sisters, Edna Sylvia of Sharptown and Una Bradd of Tampa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Toadvine Fletcher, who passed in 2008; a son, Ted Fletcher, Jr.; and brothers, Thomas Fletcher and Ned Fletcher, Ted's twin brother. A fireman's funeral will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 12:00. Pastor Bob Hudson, Sr. Chaplain of the Delmarva Firemen's Association, will officiate. Interment will be held at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Sharptown Fire Department, P.O. Box 307, Sharptown, MD 21861. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Foreman, Antoine *  
Antoine Levon Foreman Salisbury-Our Loved one Antoine Levon Foreman son of Leon Foreman Sr. and the late Arlene Violet Purnell. He departed this life on April 19, 2016. He was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, Berlin, MD, and attended art College in California and New York. He leaves to cherish fond memories his son Atif Bari Foreman; a twin brother Anphon Foreman; brothers, Leon Foreman, Jr., and Lynell Purnell; four sisters Cheyenne Foreman, Diane Foreman, Leona (Michael) Elzey and Angela Weaver and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
