Nina Rementer Bridgeville-Nina Rementer, 91, of Bridgeville passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Laurel, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. Hastings and Zenephane Fluharty Hastings. Nina graduated from Laurel High School and after graduation she attended and graduated from Lee Bible School. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Seaford, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a dedicated Evangelist who preached the gospel at many churches on the Delmarva Peninsula. Nina devoted her life to serving her master, Jesus Christ. Nina is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Linden Rementer of Bridgeville; two daughters, Connie Reustle and her husband, Allen, of Delmar and Laverne Morean and her husband, J.R., of Seaford; and her daughter-in-law, Madelyn Rementer of Seaford. Six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry L. Rementer; and her two brothers, Charles Hastings and Rudolph Hastings. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at Victory Tabernacle Church, 28261 Seaford Road, Laurel, DE 19956, where a viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m. The officiants will be Pastor Stacey Johnson, the Rev. Robert Douglas and Pastor Brent Smith. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Rementer's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Blvd., Millsboro, DE 19966. Irene D. Roth Hanover, PA-Irene D. Roth, 94, of Hanover, PA entered into God's eternal care on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Barley Autumn House East in York, PA. Born on April 23, 1919, in Rochester, NY, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Katherine Houston Dewar; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William F. Roth; two brothers, William and James Dewar; and a sister, Kathryn VanBell. Irene was a graduate of West High School in Rochester and attended the Rochester Business Institute. She was a former member of VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove and volunteer with Meals on Wheels. An avid supporter of the right to vote, she also volunteered her time to transport voters to the polls on election days. Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. All will miss her passion for life; her love of reading, music and theatre, and joy in sharing food, drink, song with her friends and family. Her love of wildlife and pets was well known. Her mastery of the apple pie was legendary. Survivors include two sons, William R. Roth and his wife, Debra, of Salisbury, MD, and Alan D. Roth and his wife, Mary Ann, of York; four grandchildren, Emily Roth of Richmond, VA, Katherine Roth of Crofton, MD, William Roth of San Diego, CA and Elizabeth Roth of Philadelphia, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
